Delphine manages the day to day operations at the MAKLab Glasgow studio as well as coordinating the MAKLab network as it grows across Scotland and the UK. Delphine also oversees the company’s education and outreach programme, developing new workshops and events with partners across Scotland.
Delphine worked in social care for 10 years before retraining at the Glasgow School of Art and graduating with a degree in Sculpture and Environmental Art. She has a strong interest in combining modern technologies with traditional making techniques as part of her practice as well as using printmaking and bookbinding techniques to create artists’ books. Delphine is part of the RE:FORM research project undertaken by MAKLab in partnership with the Open University, exploring scenarios in which re-distributed manufacturing could be introduced to both students in higher education and vocational learners in a practical training situation in cooperation with local makespaces.
